TRANSLATION:
Should We bow to you today,
It would be separating the two,
and hence, that bow should not be;
Or, if We bow to Ourself,
It is fruitless,
And hence, that, too, should not be.
Should We bow today to you,
ever the One, conceiving duality,
You will call Us an ignoramus.
Can there be duality in
the immaculate state?
COMMENTARY:
O Our Lord! Full and perfect form of Truth! Pure and blissful being! We do not know how to pay Our obeisance to you. If We offer Our obeisance to you, it will mean duality. Hence, it is not possible. You are We; We are you! After We gaining this unitive state, who remains to give respect and to whom? Who remains to accept Our obeisance?
Only in the dual state (two), one can accept obeisance, worship, courtesy and help from others. Here, no second person exists. Even the appearance of one is fast disappearing, O Lord.
In the worldly as well as divine plane, no one performs an act without expecting a specific result.
Here, (in Satguru-supreme disciple relationship), there is neither motive nor the fruit of action. (Satguru neither displays nor bestows any supernatural power). What a strange thing?
If We revere you, you will call Us an ignoramus and mock at Our stupidity. We cannot offer Our obeisance to Ourself. Can one pay respect to oneself?
O Great Master! Both of us have attained to a peculiar state. For-tunately, there is none (in this state of oneness) here to witness our pre-dicament! There is no 'other' person, as we two exist as One. There is none existing apart from us to poke fun at our discomfiture. In this blemishless state like the vast sky, there is none to share our Bliss, since there is none apart from us. The difference is only in words, you and We. That is all.
Who can explain about the bliss of the Self and to whom? There is none to explain and none to listen. O Supreme Master! Form of Truth! On one occasion, you uttered these words from your experience:
You and We are two fruits of same kind. The taste is within the fruits.
If the sweet honey (Satguru) and milk (supreme disciple) are blended together, who can explain the taste? What is left to be distinguished?
If you go on negating, 'no, no', it means, That does not exist. If you go on asserting, 'yes, yes', it means That exists.
YOU ARE EVERYTHING!
