TRANSLATION:

Casting afar all kinds of Mantra-s,
Casting afar the great Panchakshara
(Mantra of five letters, Namasivaya),
Casting afar the shining Ashtakshara (Mantra of eight letters, Namo Narayana),
Casting afar all the guru-s who teach these,
Casting afar all transient talk,
Casting afar inactive silence, too,
Casting afar all the misapprehensions of the wandering mind,
Abide changelessly in the Self.

COMMENTARY:

Give up the countless Mantra-s!
Give up the Guru who chants these Mantra-s!
Give up even the great Mantra-s 'Om Namasivaya' and 'Om Namo Narayana' and the Guru-s who chant these Mantra-s.
Give up the trivial impressions of the mind!
Give up the practice of silence of both tongue and mind!

Finally, discarding everything that causes the oscillation in the mind, be motionless with the attitude: 'We are That; That We are!'

                    YOU ARE EVERYTHING!
