TRANSLITERATION:
akam Brahmam enruNarum âtma jnânam
atiti Tamâm vivêkattâl janippa tâkum
akam Brahmam enruNarum âtma jnânam
âciriyan karuNaiyinâl kiTaippatâkum
akam Brahmam enruNarum âtma jnânam
anavaratam palakkattâl urappatâkum
akam Brahmam enruNarum âtma jnânam
akaNTa Civam karuNaiyinâl nilaippatâkum.
TRANSLATION:
The Knowledge of the Self, which is the Realization, "We are Brahmam”,
Arises out of deep discrimination.
The Knowledge of the Self, which is the Realization, "We are Brahmam",
Is obtained by the compassion of the Guru.
The Knowledge of the Self, which is the Realization, "We are Brahmam”,
Is strengthened by constant practice.
The Knowledge of the Self, which is the Realization, "We are Brahmam”,
Stays firm by the compassion of the undivided Sivam.
COMMENTARY:
Self-knowledge, the experience that:
'We are That', is attained
through firm discrimination!
Self-knowledge, the experience that:
'We are That', is attained through the grace of Sri Sadguru!
Self-knowledge, the experience that:
'We are That', is strengthened through
steady contemplation like the continuous flow of oil on That!
Self-knowledge, the experience that:
'We are That', is established permanently
by the compassion of That!
YOU ARE EVERYTHING!
