Even where there is no difficulty,
It will seem to the accursed mind
as if there is difficulty.
It is very easy to realize
For those whose minds are pure
And have cast aside all sinful acts
that are contrary (to a pure mind).
Hence, to those who, undeterred,
Take to the correct practice of Knowledge,
Steadfast Knowledge will accrue
by the grace of the God of gods.
There is no need to feel sorrow, agony or fear at all. Why then does one experience them in life? They appear due to the habits of the mind or past tendencies! Even those who are free from the three impurities namely ego, Karma and Maya and earnestly engage themselves in the Quest, will encounter confusion, fear and sorrow if their consciousness is still rooted in the body, world, sense-objects and pairs of opposites. This mindset is compared to a fly, which sits on faeces as well as sweets. If the mind which normally dwells in body-world consciousness is trained in the attitude: 'Everything belongs to God, everything is God's action' and if this experience 'the Lord is not different from Us; We, the Lord and Brahmam are one and the same' is further enhanced by one's faith, one can then get the firm Self-knowledge by the grace of the Lord. This kind of mind-set is like that of a honey bee, which sits only on beautiful flowers. This is Our experience.
