The Spontaneous Experience of the Self as Brahmam | Verse - 6

Verse: 6

Those who have obtained the four aids,
By means of treading the right path
without blemish
During several births, unattached to the results (of that intense practice),
And who have attained purity of heart
without any delusion
By naturally resorting to Sravana (listening) and the other means,
And thus reach the Knowledge of the Supreme Brahmam*,
Themselves become the undivided, non-dual Supreme Brahmam*
With no trace of anything separate from It.

One can attain the experience of non-dual Brahmam, provided one has:
i) Accumulated merits of virtuous actions done in past births,
ii) Performed selfless spiritual practices without any expectation,
iii) Followed the Dharma, without being concerned about merits or demerits of the
act,
iv) Held the attitude of dispassion with firm awareness that nothing exists apart from the Self,
v) Systematically followed the threefold practice: listening to spiritual teachings, reflection and contemplation, and
vi) Gained the conviction that the Self does not exist apart from oneself.

YOU ARE EVERYTHING!
